Overcoming Dental Anxiety with Bluewater Dental

No matter your age, we will help you overcome your fears!

Acknowledge your Fear

The first thing we advise our nervous patients to do is to come to terms with their fears. Take some time to think about where your struggles lie, write them down then come in and chat with us about it! Talking about your fear will not only allow you to come to realise your feelings, but it will also give you the opportunity to explain to us what stage you are at. From this point, we can begin supporting and guiding you through your dental treatment options.

Realise You’re Not Alone

Many patients we come across often internalise their worries about the dentist. This may be because they are embarrassed or feel alone with their anxiety. However, in overcoming your fears it is so important to remember you aren’t alone! On a daily basis in our practice we treat patients who have varying levels of dental anxiety.

Slow Dental Work is Better Than No Dental Work

After helping numerous patients in dealing with their fears, we know how long it can take and we are ready! Time doesn’t matter, it is more important to us that patients are progressing in overcoming their negative feelings. This is why we encourage nervous patients to make regular appointments so procedures can be carried out at a pace they feel comfortable with.

Commitment

We promise our patients that we will maintain commitment when it comes to helping them overcoming dental anxiety. All we ask is that you do too! In order to succeed and continue attending appointments without hesitation, you need to commit. We will provide the guidance, support and treatment you just need to be there to receive it.

Bluewater will support you in your journey to overcome your fear of the dentist.
